The “Sacral End" of Equine Craniosacral Therapy

April 9, 2025 Kaiti Elliott

The “Sacral End” of Equine Craniosacral Therapy

The pelvis is a vital part of the craniosacral system and the overall health of the nervous system; one that deserves as much attention as the poll or jaw.

Addressing the “sacral end” of the craniosacral system creates profound changes not only in the horse’s body and movement, but also in their nervous system and behaviour. When a horse is on rest, especially with a restricted movement recovery space (stall or paddock), it is vital to ensure that their body is receiving support throughout their recovery.

Research Discussion on Equine Pain

January 9, 2025 Kaiti Elliott

I read a very interesting study published earlier this year that validates what many horse people have already been seeing and experiencing. Through this study, researchers have developed a tool to aid in the assessment of musculoskeletal pain in horses. You can find the full research article cited at the bottom of this post.
